Race bag pickup

Thursday 5/16 and Friday 5/17, 6-8:00 pm at the Italian Festival.

Saturday 5/18, race day morning, 7:00 am to 8:45 am.

RUNNER PARKING IS AT BOB JONES STADIUM ON MUNN ROAD ACROSS FROM THE RACE.

 

7:30 - 8:45 am -  5K Race Day Registration, bag pickup

8:15 am -            Race registration for WALKERS ends.

8:25 am -            National Anthem and Prayer

8:30 am  -           1 Mile Family Walk and Fun Run

8:45 am -            Pre-race stretch; 5k Registration ends.

9:00 am  -           5k Run Start

10:10 am  -         Awards ceremony and prize drawing.

10:30 am  -         Kids 100 Yard Dash (free)

***  All participants, including volunteers, of all ages must complete a waiver form with emergency contact information, either with online registration or on the day of the race in paper form.

 We will be running 3 x 1-mile loops so that runners will pass the festival, music and spectators 3 times! One loop, one location for the water and cannoli eating, and lots of cheering for the runners! 

5k Run - All abilities are welcome to participate.  The course is stroller and handicap accessible with only a couple speed bumps.

             - First 150 runners who registered online and indicated to eat 3 cannolis will be the ONLY runners given access to the cannoli tables during                     the race. 

 COURSE MAP BELOW.

1 Mile Family Walk - This will be an approximately 1 mile course, flat and easily accomodating. All ages and abilities will have fun participating.  You can run as fast as you want or enjoy a leisurely walk with friends and family.  Start is 8:30 am. 

 

Kids 100 yard Dash - This event is FREE for kids with a targeted age of 6 and below. All participants will receive a Cannoli medal at the finish.

 

 

*** Eat your 3 cannolis during the race and receive a Cannoli Achievement certificate! ***

 

We are running counter clockwise from the church grounds, left on Munn Road, left on Kingsley. Turnaround point is on the bridge, right in front of Novant, behind CITI and back to church grounds/start-finish area. 3 loops for 5k runners.
